App Design | SSO | Authentication
For the whole duration of the project I was on site to deliver a platform wide solution, working closely with the team of specialists at Lotto NZ's headquarter in Newmarket, Auckland.
As a governmental overseen company such as Lotto NZ is, the whole user experience had to be not only human centric driven, it had to be the most secure way to interact with the product. In close collaboration with the team at Lotto the decision was made to only use native device security features.
Rather than designing a complete unique infrastructure - with a massive amount of dev-maintenance - the mid-term solution to connect to device native security features was reasonable as cost effective development was key.
To login to the various products & games Lotto NZ is offering, the user friendly way was key: an auth0 browser-based login - short: Single Sign-On (SSO). This would make the user experience more fluent as there's no need for extra login flows and reduce risk of eg phishing credentials and access-tokens by third-parties - compared to native login flows.
